The Golden Angel is flying high after inspiring her Pro Model Workshop Fitness Models to compete at the most recent WNBF NSW Titles held at Dee Why RSL.

Congrats to Marissa Neives from Pure Life and Fitness Revolution for winning the Best Body Swimsuit title who shined in her stunning red dress.

Claire Morgan from Five Dock did very well placing third in a glamorous gold Swimsuit and Katrina Stephens from North Nowra Gym came in 5th place in Best Body Swimsuit and First place in Fit Body Masters. Katrina is truly a inspiration to us all after loosing a whopping 35kgs with the support of her husband Gary and family and of course Ivan from North Nowra Gym. Katrina has been a regular client of Deanne's in these past months learning all about Stage Presence and how to conduct the model walk. Katrina did very well in her Vogue inspired Teal Gown.

All of these ladies as well as other PMW athletes will be competing at WNBF Asia Pacific in 4 weeks cant wait to see them rock the stage again !!!

The Golden Angel and The Pro Model Workshop was one of the sponsors of the WNBF NSW Championships and the Golden Angel presented most of the trophies on the day. Deanne had provided a information stand at the show for any girls looking to register for the next Pro Model Workshops for 2010 and where you had the opportunity to try the new and exciting Monavie Acai Berry Vitamin drink which has been released on the market.

The PMW sponsor's products were up on display for any girls interested in Custom made Jewellery from TTTreasures and Hair Talk Hair Extensions to name a few.

The 2009 WNBF NSW Championships proved to show the country how strong the fully drug-tested movement is by holding a very successful show and one of the best for 2009.

Dee Why RSL auditorium was a packed house last Sunday full of spectators spilling out of the doors to watch and show their support to see the fully drug-tested athletes take to the stage. The day started with the familiar sound of Australia's National Anthem to kick start the event. This show wasn't short of quality, especially when the 19 Novice Men's bodybuilders hit the stage. The site was breathtaking not to mention the sound of all the supporters cheers bouncing off the auditorium walls.

Everyone that attended to watch the wonderful display of natural physiques on the WNBF stage will tell you that the atmosphere on the day was extremely uplifting, positive and motivating. WNBF are well known for their family friendly shows and with the showcase of all the amazing talent and enjoyable experience remaining on everyone's minds we are all now in anticipation of what's to come on the weekend of the WNBF Asia Pacific Championships on the 10th and 11th of October in four weeks.

Deanne has scored a short but fun role as a Bootcamp girl on a TV Commercial for Tip Top Bread Mini Loafs that will only air in VIC be on the look out for the star.

WOW hasn't the year flown by and before I know it I will be battling it out on the World stage in NY. Its been a tough but fun start to the year from kicking off the Pro Model Workshops to meeting athletes in NT and QLD at the WNBF shows to networking at the FILEX, Hair Expo and Dance Expos.

Fitness Expo April 09 (FILEX)

Danny Chau (President of the WNBF Asia Pacific) and I had such a great time at the Top Nutrition stand meeting all of the WNBF athletes dropping past to say hi and meeting new people in all different areas of the Fitness industry. I had the chance to promote the Pro Model Workshop to potential athletes and to women looking to get fit and change their lifestyle. Looking forward to FILEX 2010 big exciting plans ahead (sorry it's a secret for now)

NT Darwin trip May 09

I travelled to the NT for the WNBF Female Classic on May the 22nd and had a fantastic time meeting up with the NT WNBF team who are the kindest and the most welcoming people I know. Stephen Cardona the NT promoter flew me up for the weekend to help judge the show and be the guest poser. Stephen set up a signing session at the local nutrition and supplement store in main street Darwin for people to come and meet me to talk about the WNBF comps coming up and my experiences at the Worlds. The Pro Model Workshop was held at Fitness Bay on the Friday night. Fitness Bay were so good to me and the girls as they let us have the facilities all to ourselves for the night. I got meet Amber Walker, Linda Daniels, Sammy Laughton and Kelly who enjoyed the presentations and the posing practice so much so that we encouraged one of girls - Amber to compete. Amber won the Best Body Swimsuit division the next day !!

The show was held on the Saturday and Stephen did a great job and really worked hard making sure the athletes had a great time. The Female classic actually ended up being a mini Fitness Expo with a presentation from the Radical Fitness crew. We would have loved to see more girls compete but so many people are waiting for the NT show in September to come around which I am sure will be great also. I was so excited to hear that Stephen even arranged an encouragement award/trophy named after me which was awarded to Best Body competitor Jess Crane.

We all had such a great time in Darwin - socializing, running the show, eating at the beautiful buffets and visiting the Crocosaurus Cove. A big thanks goes to genuine kind hearted people within the NT team- Stephen and Shelly Cardona, Danny Chau, Sammy Laughton and Hector El Nino.

Hair Expo June 09

I am so very lucky to be given the opportunity by Celebrity Hair/Hair Talk Extensions to become one of their Ambassadors!!

I joined six other stunning models at the Hair Expo to promote Hair Talk Extensions which is 100% Indian Remy hair (Human hair) best quality I have ever used and the best thing is there is no glue or mess and it takes 45mins to apply to your head. I had a wonderful break and ready for another big year ahead.

From being appointed this years 2009 WNBF BB Swimsuit and Amateur USA Figure judge to holding my first Fitness model workshop. I will also be guest posing at some of the WNBF shows around the nation so look out for me.

This year was ten times better than last year I would have to say NY is bloody awesome and if I got the opportunity to live there I would.

We spent most of our holiday period in NY and even though we saw most of it last year we got to see parts that we missed out on went and revisited the most exciting part of NY three times which happens to be Times Square. The bright lights and whole atmosphere is so amazing that we just kept going back through the week with the Aussie team. It was a little hard a couple of days before the comp to venture out considering I had my pro tan on and I was so orange so I had so many stares even leaving my hotel room..i don’t blame them really I must of looked weird lol, so I didn’t go out much during that time until after the comp.

Prior to the show we did a lot of window shopping and we came across a news agency so we decided to buy the WNBF mag (which is the NBF magazine full of great training and nutrition articles and pictures of various athletes) and I was so excited to find myself in the magazine it was so surreal !!!! Seeing my article just gave me the added boost of motivation and hope that I can bring back a medal and make one of the front covers one day….. well after placing World Runner up all my dreams are finally coming true !!!!!!

The photoshoot we had the day after the show was just the icing on the cake. Getting to meet all the Pro athletes I had been reading about for a few years was really exciting. World champs like Pro World Champion from the UK Brandon Greenwood, Middleweight Clarence McGill and World champ in the Lightweight division Brian Whitacre Jason Breeze the photographer was really fantastic to work with and he is so friendly. The shoot was located in the gym and in a studio so can’t wait to see the results.

We went to Little Italy downtown near Manhattan for after comp splurge with my man Daniel for some awesome Italian food .. and omg it was amazing. We had the best pasta and cakes ever also I just love the Italian feel of it as its just like you are in Italy with all the shops and cafes and hot Italian cars cruzin around

Rosie my fellow Aussie figure competitor and I walked around Soho which is similar to Sydneys Newtown with all the quirky shops and boutiques and funky people hanging about.

We walked around to Christian Audigier and GSTAR to check out the hottest and newest fashion lines to come out.

We walked through Central Park for a cardio session that was only meant to take 30mins but ended up taking a hr and half and we only covered 1/3’s of it .. its HUGE it would take ages to cover it all.

On the last day we spent the whole morning packing and cleaning the unit as we had bought so much stuff it was hard to pack it all and the fridge was full of left over ‘diet food’ that obviously we weren’t going to eat as we were too much interested in chocolate and American food.

The Aussie team all left the same day as us and we travelled to the airport together.

It was sad to say goodbye to NY and to all my Aussie team mates including my number one supporter Danny Chau but I know I will be back for next year to give it another crack.

Daniel and I continued on and headed off to Las Vegas to celebrate.

Over the weekend at the Gold Coast Bike Show Taesha and I presented our Fitness Model 2009 Calender to the public.

This was a success and we enjoyed our time getting out and about meeting new people.

I would like to thank Brad, Berg and Ian from Custom Central for the support they have provided and I am very honored to have met some of the Vietnam Vets, these guys remind us how good we have it. I am inspired by the strength of these men.

I would also like to thank my friend Brett Cross from White Knights Photography who was busy buzzing around all day with the camera, he has taken some amazing images over the weekend and I love his passion.

September 13th -2008 WNBF Pro Natural(tm) International Championships Natural Classic

Results are in and Deanne has placed 5th in the line up of 16 Pro- Natural Figure competitors. There was no short or tall class divisions and it was extremely tough competition as the photos will reveal.

Deanne came in looking her very best and seemed to be a favorite amongst the crowd.

The judges had a very hard job in judging on the day and it seemed to take around twenty minutes of the competitors conducting their Quarter Turns to decide the top 5.

Deanne was placed in the middle of the pack on stage during judging and seemed to out shine the others but was unfortunately overlooked.

Deanne famous for her well defined six pack had come into the show with great conditioning, nicely shaped cut shoulders, displayed a wide back, tight gluts and had a glamorous presentation and t- walk.

The amazing Arlene Lurey took out the gold medal and Allison Frahn took the silver.

With one down and two more to go Deanne is every bit ready to get back up and battle it out again at the Asia Pacific Pro  and in New York for the MS Exercise Pro Figure Titles.

September 11th
Well the time is nearly here !!

I arrived in Kansas City on the Monday night at midnight after flying around forty hours from Sydney through Dubai and through New York.

I remained focused through the travelling and lucky the flying has not affected me at all.

My mother came for the trip and we have hired a car and have met with Fred and Jan Rowlett from Gold's Gym here in KC and have finished some posing and training sessions.. I love training in Gold's gym the equipment is awesome as well as the atmosphere. The folks over here love the Aussie ascent and have stopped me just to hear me speak !! now that's a first usually people are telling me to stop talking.

I have my purple Jagware 'bling' suit ready to go and have booked my drug testing (polygraph and urine testing) appointments which will be at the Hyatt where I will be moving over to be with the other athletes.

Arlene Lurey is staying in the room next to me so I am so excited to be catching up with her again and a little birdie told me that Allison Frahn is expected to be flying in shortly as well so I am very excited.

I just can't wait to get on stage it has been ten months ... too long.

I just would like to say thanks to Peter and Cesar at Innovative gym and the other members who have provided me with support during the preparation phase and to all my close friends and family who have emailed and text their well wishes and to Danny Chau for the continuous valuable support during the lead up to the show.

Hi guys just thought I would let you all in on some good news……

The reason I have been locked away in the gym for the last two months preparing for my first comp for the year is because I have been lucky enough to be able to go and represent Australia for the WNBF Pro International Figure Championships in Kansas City on the 13th of September 08.

I will be up against some tough competition at this comp and it will be a great chance to mingle and meet people in the sport while I am over there.

And also the long wait for the ‘Taesha and Deanne Fitness Model 2009 Calendar’ is nearly coming to an end for those who are calling us on a regular basis asking for updates on the process… 

We expect it to be finished production in October ready for the Asia Pacific Titles.

I will keep you all posted of the results in September.

The WNBF Asia Pacific President Danny Chau and his team have been very busy organizing the up and coming Regional shows that kicked off on the 27th April. But most recently the biggest buzz at the moment is the debut of the ‘Australian Angels’.

The angels are proudly sponsored by Brazil Fit and by Danny Chau.

The crowd stopping Australian Angels conducted a spectacular routine and Fashion Parade wearing BrazilFit on the Main Stage at the Australian Fitness Expo. The expo held a huge number of people totaling to 16,974 and is the largest expo of its kind in the Asia/ Pacific region, which means good news us the Angels as we have reached out to the Fitness industry and are now well recognized as a group. The beautiful angels were already largely recognized individually in Australia and internationally for their previous achievements in Bodybuilding and other activities outside their group.

The stunning angels and their sponsor Danny Chau have worked very hard over the months in developing and preparing the group. Each angel has their own individual trademark.

Firstly we have:

Dynamite Angel / Asher Dobson - WNBF Asia Pacific and INBF World Fitness Champion and WNBF Ms Exercise World Pro Figure competitor placing 8th (Short class) at the World Titles. The explosive energy and power of Dynamite has assisted her in spectacular Fitness Routines and in the past she has won various Aerobics Championships.

Star Angel / Raina Popovska - WNBF Asia Pacific Best Body Competitor and WNBF Femtastic Best Body Swimsuit Champion. This bright Star who shines on stage has also completed her Personal Training Certification and is currently studying Accounting/Business Law.

Golden Angel / Me - WNBF Asia Pacific Pro Figure Champion and WNBF Ms Exercise World Pro Figure competitor placing 5th  (Short class) at the World Titles. Golden's famously long illuminating blonde hair has aided in catching the spotlight as a successful model working in the industry for seven years.

Elegant Angel / Nancy Waites - WNBF Asia Pacific Fit Body Champion and INBF Figure competitor placing 6th (Tall class) and Miss Fit Body placing 4th (Tall class) at World Titles. Elegant for her graceful appearance and structure is also a successful Personal Trainer.

Aerial Angel / Rony Lebovics - WNBF Queensland Fitness Champion and Figure Competitor. Famous for spectacular acts in the air, Aerial is a professional Aerial Acrobat and has been performing both locally and internationally for a world renowned Performing Arts company.

 

The angels have a jam packed calendar this year and will be appearing at some of the WNBF shows being held and will be providing photo and signing opportunities for all their fans. The Australian Angels future plans are to encourage women in Fitness and in general achieve their goals and aspirations.
